From Paintless Dent Repair to a Full-Service Automotive Company
Bailey’s has grown significantly since its beginning, but the foundation of the company has remained the same: work hard, continue learning, take care of customers, and build a team capable of doing things the right way.
What started as a specialized Paintless Dent Repair business has developed into a full-service automotive operation serving Fargo-Moorhead and the surrounding region.
Where It All Started
Before Bailey’s became the company it is today, founder Kevin Bailey attended North Dakota State College of Science, where he earned an Associate Degree in Auto Body and Refinishing Technology.
After college, Kevin began developing his skills in the automotive repair industry and training in Paintless Dent Repair (PDR). He spent several years traveling across the United States following hail storms, repairing vehicles, improving his PDR skills, and learning the business side of the industry.
Kevin’s now-wife, Atalie Bailey, traveled with him during those early years. Together, they built a reputation for hard work, efficiency, and a commitment to quality.
In 2009, the business that would eventually become Bailey’s began with a focus on Paintless Dent Repair.
2012: Bailey’s PDR Takes Shape
In 2012, the business was formally incorporated as Bailey’s PDR Inc.
Rather than continuing to focus primarily on traveling and wholesale hail work, Bailey’s began putting down stronger roots in the Fargo-Moorhead community.
The goal was to build a local company where vehicle owners, dealerships, body shops, and other customers could receive professional Paintless Dent Repair from a team they could rely on.
2014: Establishing a Home in Fargo
As Bailey’s continued to grow, the company established its permanent Fargo location at 3302 4th Ave S.
The building gave Bailey’s the ability to serve retail customers locally while continuing to work with dealerships, body shops, and other automotive businesses throughout the region.
That location would become the foundation for the next several stages of Bailey’s growth.
2016: Bailey’s Reconditioning
By 2016, Bailey’s had expanded beyond Paintless Dent Repair and began offering additional vehicle reconditioning services, including interior and exterior detailing.
To support the growing operation, approximately 4,500 square feet of additional space was added to the Fargo facility and Bailey’s Reconditioning was created.
This expansion marked an important shift for the company. Bailey’s was no longer focused on just one type of automotive repair. The business was beginning to develop into a broader vehicle appearance and repair operation.
2018: Bailey’s Auto Body
In 2018, Bailey’s expanded again with the addition of Bailey’s Auto Body.
The expansion brought conventional body repair and automotive painting into the company, returning Kevin to the type of work he originally studied at North Dakota State College of Science.
What began with smaller body and cosmetic repairs continued to develop into more comprehensive collision repair capabilities, including major collision repairs, structural work, automotive painting, and glass replacement.
A semi-side downdraft automotive paint booth and mixing room were also added to support the company’s growing auto body operation.
2020: Continuing to Expand
In 2020, Bailey’s continued expanding its automotive operations with the launch of Bailey’s Auto Sales, providing used vehicles to customers in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
Over the following years, Bailey’s continued investing in its team, equipment, technology, training, and services.
The company that began with Paintless Dent Repair had grown into an operation capable of helping customers with collision repair, PDR, detailing and reconditioning, glass replacement, mechanical services, and vehicle sales.
Growing With Fargo-Moorhead
Growth at Bailey’s has never been limited to adding services. As the company expanded, so did the number of people, tools, equipment, processes, and specialized skills required to serve customers properly.
The 3302 4th Ave S facility underwent multiple additions and renovations throughout the years to accommodate that growth. What once served a much smaller PDR operation eventually became home to several different automotive departments working together under the Bailey’s name.
Eventually, Bailey’s reached the point where continued growth required more than another renovation.
2026: Building the Next Chapter
On September 9, 2026, Bailey’s officially broke ground on a new facility at 3302 36th St S in Fargo.
The project represents one of the largest milestones in Bailey’s history and the next step in a journey that began more than 15 years earlier with Paintless Dent Repair.
The new facility is being designed around the automotive operation Bailey’s has become today, providing additional space and a purpose-built environment for the company’s team, equipment, processes, and future capabilities.
Design Resources Group is serving as the architect for the project, while Christianson Companies is providing construction management.

Bailey’s Today
Today, Bailey’s continues to serve customers throughout Fargo, Moorhead, and the surrounding communities with a growing team and a broad range of automotive services.
Although the company looks very different from the PDR business that began in 2009, the goal remains familiar: continue improving, take care of customers, invest in the people behind the work, and build a company that can serve the community for years to come.
The next chapter of Bailey’s is still being written.
